My Mother-In-Law because she doesn't need anything.
One of my favorite in-laws. She is a very smart woman! She knows a lot. I can always rely on her to help me when I need to buy something. She will tell me what to look for and/or what to avoid. That is generally very helpful. However, because of this, finding a gift that will not be disappointing is a challenge. She will always be gracious no matter what I give her, but I sometimes feel that I need to do my homework in order to give her something that is high quality.

Buying presents for my mom is the most difficult. There isn't much she needs and if she does need something, she can afford to get it herself so we are really stuck with trying to find something she would never think of or has never seen. I would say my granddaughter. Before I could get her one, either my sons (her uncle), my husband (her grandfather) or her parents already pre-ordered items she likes to get from Santa. The most difficult person to buy Christmas gifts for is definitely me. My birthday is on Christmas Day. And this year I turn 65 and insist on celebrating my birthday on the actual day like everyone else gets to. I expect my family is debating... underdo or overdo? All I actually want is some lamb biryani and a game of Scrabble. Some sheets would be nice too.

My husband, Gary; no matter what I get him, he doesn’t like it which makes it very disappointing for the gift giver. He always tells me not to get him anything but I feel odd not too. I love giving gifts more than getting them so it’s not very satisfying.

My husband is impossible to buy for, he refuses to give any hints to what he'd like, doesn't like to have clothes picked for him, gift cards stress him out as he feels he must go spend them immediately. He will mention after the holidays "oh I guess I could have used ____" so this year, rather than let him drive me crazy, we are giving each other a trip....it may just have to cover next year too!

I know we need certain items...like a good set of sheets; the ones we have have balls on them and are very old. He says they are fine. I know our sheets have to be replaced so I'm being practical! I will try this first and cross my fingers 🤞

Lastly my best girl friend because her spouse is quite well off and pretty much buys her everything plus on her wish list!!
